My son is going to attend his senior prom in a couple of months. He is a good kid and doesn’t drink but I still worry about others drinking and driving on that night. You see, he hasn’t had his drivers license more than a year yet and is not a very experienced driver. I worry that if he encounters an impaired driver on the road he will panic and forget what to do. After picking everybody up they would drive them to the venue where the prom was being held. The limo driver is required to wait at the venue until the prom is over. Once the prom is over, all of the kids would get back in the limo and would be taken to the after party. Again, the driver would wait until the after party was over and then take all of the kids back to each of their homes.

This seemed like the safest way to get all of the kids to the prom and back home without being driven by their parents. We all know how kids feel about that. I know with great certainty that I will feel a little less anxious knowing that my son and his friends will be in the safe hands of a professional driver on prom night.

Brooms from coconut sticks are costing Rs 40 each in Goa

Grass brooms are usually used for sweeping the floor indoors in India because they are damaged if any water falls on it, Brooms made from the sticks of the coconut leaf were used for sweeping the ground outdoors, since they are not damaged if they become wet.
However there is also a big increase in the cost of these brooms made from coconut sticks.
The local retailer has said that these brooms are costing Rs 40 each, which is fairly high.
In panaji, there are many coconut trees, and their leaves are falling on the ground in many areas. Removing these sticks to make a broom is fairly simple, however it appears that most people are lazy, and are not interested in doing this work to make money.
So the price of the coconut stick brooms remains high in panaji, goa

Price of grass brooms has increased drastically in the last few years

Till the last few years, most of the grass brooms used for sweeping the floor in homes were fairly affordable costing rs 25-30
However in 2017-2018, the price of these grass brooms has increased rapidly
Now there is almost no retailer in panaji, goa who is selling these grass brooms for less than Rs 60
At a discount store, which offers low prices for most items, none of the grass brooms available are costing less than Rs 100 as MRP
The lowest discounted price of the grass brooms is Rs 75 at the store.
The local retailer has grassbrooms for Rs 65, and this is the MRP of the grass broom he is selling
Compared to other brooms, the grass brooms have a limited life, and are easily damaged when they become wet
