High profile thefts and crimes by servants in large metro cities

Often the media will report that the jewellery of a celebrity is missing or some persons have been found murdered or assaulted in their homes, with the servant or household help being the main suspect. However most of these crimes are being committed in large metro cities only, relatively fewer crimes are being reported in small towns,
There are several reasons for servant related crime in large cities
– many of those hiring servants are extremely wealthy and have lot of money which is a temptation for the poor servant
– the family hiring housekeepers may be mistreating or assaulting the household help
– a large number of servants are from remote areas, villages and are overconfident that they can disappear after committing the crime without being traced
– in some cases, the family has not carried out a background check of the servant , which the servant can take advantage of
